Fury will automatically collect souls upon defeating enemies, and players can keep track of how many souls they have in the lower right corner of the screen. Souls can also be obtained from breaking objects in the environment, as well as by shattering Lurcher Crystals. Lurcher Crystals are bundles of souls that come in various sizes, such as Clumps and Clusters. To obtain souls from a Lurcher Crystal, you must shatter them from within your inventory. Open your inventory and tab over to the Crystals section, then press and hold the Shatter button to break the Lurcher Crystal and collect its souls. Press and hold the Shatter All button to break all of the Lurcher Crystals you have of a certain size. It’s best to do this just before visiting Vulgrim, as you don’t want to risk dying and dropping the souls along the way. These soul items cannot be purchased from or sold to Vulgrim, so make sure to scavenge thoroughly to find these valuable items. Vulgrim is more than just a humble merchant in Darksiders 3. In order to level up your attributes, you will need to feed souls that you’ve collected to Vulgrim to gain the Attribute Points needed for leveling up. Interact with Vulgrim at one of his locations and select Feed Souls. The bar will display the number of souls required to reach the next level.
